How to Eat Junk Food and Still Lose Weight
I’m sure that most people are aware of the fact that eating salads help you lose weight. When you eat a salad at every meal, your metabolism increases and helps burn away the fat. But you may be unaware of another way in which eating salads can help you lose weight. This little known fact about salads and other green leafy vegetables may allow you to offset most of the negative weight gaining effects of eating junk foods!
If you have tried all the available fad diets out there and still failed miserably, you might be wondering how on earth can eating salads help you lose weight? I’m not suggesting that you over- do it on junk food, or eat junk food alone, but instead, if you do eat junk food eat a salad or other green leafy vegetable along with it – here’s why;
Obviously by eating just junk foods, you will gain weight, but do you know why? It all happens because of the transaction between two types of chemicals. Junk food usually consists of soft drinks, red meat, sugar, dairy foods etc. All these foods are rich in acids. These acids could be very dangerous if left alone “as is” inside your body so in defense your body binds these acids with fat.
On the other hand, green leafy vegetables such as salads; contain a lot of alkaline, which is the opposite of acids. When the alkaline enters your body, they work to neutralize the acids and help your body cleanse itself of all the toxins you have in the form of fat deposits and work in this way to help you shed all those extra pounds very quickly! The more green leafy vegetables you eat, the faster you will lose weight.
Hopefully you can see that it is important to add green leafy vegetables any time you decide to eat something you consider junk food. Especially when you go to a fast food restaurant, you need to order a salad along with your food so the alkaline can help neutralize the acids in the junk food and help you to lose weight.
Like I said before, you should not over-do it on junk food. Obviously, if you want to lose weight, you can’t make it a regular habit of eating junk food. If you make junk food should a regular part of your diet, you will run the risk of gaining weight.
You should also plan your meals so that 70%-80% of your diet consists of raw fruits and vegetables, and also drink plenty of water. Your body needs a lot of water. Water is not just way to flush out toxin but if you have more water in your body you will generally feel healthier and fitter. This it self will discourage any tendency to gorge. The best thing about water is that is has no calories at all.
